LIVING IN ABNEGATION

Sometime living in denial is a satisfying experience. As the abominable development around us is abstruse. The health of globe is abysmal but our self denial put us on the height of glory. What is going in Ghaza is not a new experience but the silence of every citizen of world is deeply depressing.

Oppression by the oppressed is a historical fact. The exhibition of barbarism is inevitable when someone has absolute power and freedom. Israel a terror state has put everything to display the act of power. The destruction, casualty, pain and suffering are unimaginable. It’s beyond nightmare. The unstoppable power of Israel and act of aggression shows the helplessness of the rest of the world.

But the aberrant behavior of media is more and more depressing. Instead of showing and discussing the worst humanitarian crisis, they are more concerned about ghajini and amir khan, Amitabh bachan and his family.

Media as an institution has just transformed into a corporate entertainment agency feeding the news hunger of elite and upper middle class. With no serious business at stake, they are just busy in increasing their TRP by selling anything. Anything which elite and middle class can buy. Any news and headline which can excite them.

Media in this country is playing a very negative role. Pushing the common people into denial mode. Creating a matrix for them and abetting them to get rid of reality. Media an important tool in any democratic society has failed to create an ambience of truth and trust. Failed to initiate any discourse on serious issues.

Now it’s the duty of every aware citizen of this nation to unmask the media and held them accountable in front of society. Let’s not live in abnegation. Let’s seek the truth.

i see what your trying to say. it is definitely depressing to see that all the media is concerned with is how to make news rahter than report it in its true form. even here in the usa, when i tune into CNN or any other news channel, i find news about celebrities. its indeed depressing

As they say "ignorance is bliss...". And thats what the media is selling to the gullible.

We (the homo sapiens) have an inherent hope ,false though , built within us (the 'hope' that drives the species of our likeness to keep replicating) that makes sure we look at the peasant happenings around us... And there we go...

Keep trying to get us up walking straight. I am sure of the outcome though. We are destined to be doomed....

asak.... its really nice to read the article. apart from al that u
mentioned, what concerns me most is the coldness we have developed at
the sight of flowing human blood. no more is it that a sense of
responibility towards our dying brothers and sisters chills our
spines. the distance between india and palestine is huge, but the
distance between our hearts seems to be more. and we are partially
responsible for that. there are many external forces which have
snatched that sensitivity from our eyes and that warmth from our
hearts. If this article can motivtate atleast 10 persons to be a bit
sensitive about the issue and act in their area of influence then I
think Musab bhai your job'd done.

Allah says in Sura Muhammad ayat # 31 "And verily We shall try you till We know those of you who strive hard (for the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till We test your record." Gazans are becoming a "Hujjat" or emblem of "Shahadate Haqq", thus putting all the Muslim Ummah in a tight spot vis a vis the "jawabdehi (accountability)" they will have to face in Akhirah for their genuine or fake inability to contribute something meaningful to the Gazans. As for the media, it is purely market oriented and they are accountable to their owners or share-holders for the company bottomline; so their job is to ensure news that sells; by hook or by crook. Nice post keep it going!

mr musab, this seems like your place where u can rent. like one of those bathroom singers who could never make it to the charts. though the role of media is definitely in quetion, including its baises. so i ask who is not. r u free from it???. though u can go on and on about it. the fact is that u either take it or fuck it.

Well Said Brother Musab, Now a days the media just become the puppet of elite or higher middle class. The role of media is disgusting and they hide the truth and flash the odds which has no concern with general people. so we can say those channels or media as a "KHABRI" they have forget the role of media.
Its really depressing enough.

gud musab bhai very good article
apart from the article if u can guide us too with steps to be taken would have been better as i particular am the youngster, short of experience but surely at the age of learning
One thing what we can do is to start up the either news paper or channel to highlight the facts of every matter.
i wonder if the indian media can change their attitude and fill up their hearts with the light which guides them to the righteous of the paths and sense of ignoring the higher class and upper middle class people
the approach of Indian media, it sometimes irritate me like anything.........
the only reason i can say is the sheer love of money, TRPs and entertainment in their hearts left their hears rusty...
May God guide them.........Ameen
